SUN TV Network Limited announced new tariff plan under the TRAI regulation 2019. SUN TV has a total 42 TV Channel operates in mostly South India (Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala). SUN TV has also launched two new channel Sun Bangla and
Sun Marathi to enter into North Indian broadcasting market. On 28 December 2018, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) announced new framework for Cable TV, DTH, and IPTV in India. Under this regulation, all broadcasting company has to provide rates of single TV Channel, and also they can club channel into the bouquet. Effectively from 1 February 2019 TRAI new DTH Rules shall start.
The consumer has freedom to select TV channel as per their choice. TRAI has also launched “Basic Service Tier Pack“. In this total 100 Free to Air (FTA) channel are provided in just Rs 130 + GST (18%).
